Did this show have a title change?

I ask this question in my subject line, because I don't understand why when the show comes on, the title that appears over the opening is "Molly" (at least that's what happened the few times I've seen it on JLTV). But, that's of course not the title that we know the show by. So my question is, did this show have a title change?

If you look under "additional details" you'll find that "Molly" is the syndication title. I believe it was only the final season (after they moved to the suburbs) that was filmed for syndication.

Oh, I didn't see that. But thank you! You happen to know why shows often changed titles in syndication?

And I'm not sure I quite understand the concept of syndication. For a while, I always thought that it simply meant that a show was being rerun on several networks. But, that's not exactly true, is it? A show can be in syndication and still have new episodes coming out, in syndication. So, what is the point of syndication?

My knowledge of the "business end" of TV is quite limited but here is an informative article about syndication:

In short, it's all about money. I recently read in a biography of Rod Serling (written by his daughter) that he sold the Twilight Zone program rights to CBS for a modest sum after the series ended. He had no idea that their potential earnings in syndication over the many years to follow would be astronomical.

Syndication: Programs are sold individual stations. A Network airs a program on multiple stations at the same time. In my area "Judge Judy" is seen on one ststion at 4:00PM and another at 10:00PM. "Ellen" airs at 10:00AM and 4:00PM on stations thirty-miles apart.
