A friend at work told me that Martin Scorsese was doing a remake staring Robert Deniro and Leonardo Decaprio. I went to IMDB to get more info and I dont see anything about this. Does anyone have any info on this or was my friend spreading rumors?

It doesn't need a remake but I guess that Scorcese, Spielberg, Lucas et al will try to re-make at least one Kurosawa film - after all he gave them so many great ideas. And they seem to love his films. Of course some would argue that Lucas already has - the original Star Wars film owes a lot to The Hidden Fortress.
I don't know anything else about this. I try to keep my eye on De Niro but have not heard anything.
