Unknown Island - the only film with horned T-Rexes
Not bad early attempt at a prehistoric monster movie in 2-color process cinecolor.

shareIt looked more like a ceratosaurus. Maybe that's what they were going for, but felt that tyrannosaurus had more name value? That, or maybe it was meant to be a tyrannosaurus, but they felt that three claws and a horn would make it more intimidating. I don't know.
With Hollywood in the early to mid 20th century, film dinosaurs were whatever the studio said that they were. The other night, I watched King Dinosaur and they tried to claim that an iguana was a tyrannosaurus. The mono-horned monster of this film certainly came a lot closer to the real deal than that one ever did.
