Final Shot
Anyone know (or guess) how the amazing final shot was done? I would assume the camera on a vehicle but I didn't see any tracks in the sand. I thought it was amazingly effective.
shareThe shot was filmed with virtually everything--the camera movement, the characters' movements--being performed backwards; the film was then reversed.
The main thing that couldn't be performed backwards for the shot was the ocean waves, and if you look closely, you can see them running away from shore during the shot's last few seconds (those being the first few seconds to be filmed). Odd that the director left those last/first few seconds in.
