I think this cartoon is a classic. It's a very sad cartoon, but it's done really well. The sad part of this cartoon shocked me alot, but it still manages to have a happy ending.
shareI forgot all about this until I was watching a cartoon montage on youtube, and a clip from this cartoon was on there. I remember feeling sad about the fox dying, but doesn't the ghost of the fox reunite with Casper at the end? I forget, but I'm pretty sure that's how it ended. Great cartoon though, even though it was pretty sad.

I was this film when I was a kid, and it's till with me (I'm in my twenties). I never remembered what cartoon it was from, only the name "ferdie", but thanks to the internet that was enough to find it again, and watching it now it's just as affecting as when I was 6 (probably that's because I watched it when I was 6). Still, I'm an animal lover and as a child this cartoon came as kind of a shock. I guess it's impressive that it's still with me all these years later, though.
