history channel showed about the science of superman but

about a year or so ago on the history channel, they were showing i think something like the science behind superman and his powers. i have seen this twice on that channel. one thing i did hate they never mentioned the FIRST superman played by kirk alyn. he did it in mid 40s. they showed from george reeves to chris reeve. cant remember if they mentioned about brandon routh who did it in the 2000's. one thing was different when kirk did the superman serials i first saw on tcm few years back, he never flew. they did a cartoon version of him flying cause they didnt have the way or means to show him flying like they did with george reeves. does anyone remember seeing this on the history channel? they also did the science behind batman too and his utility belt which including adam west to the actors that did the movie. also they did not mentioned the first batman before west did the tv show which was also on tcm or was it amc few years back and a serial. saw it only the one time. was made in 1943.
