I have always thought her protrayal as 'the maiden' is one of the best ever, esp when one considers the parts she usually has....

Coincidentally, Mary Field played the same role in Ball of Fire, can't ever recall that ever happening before.

I always like Mary Field though. She played the same type of role for 30 years but she was so good at it.
The funniest section of "A Song is Born" is the beginning, a dance duet between Ms. Field and Mr. Kaye. Funny - funny - funny!
