does anyone know what the 'pianist' is playing?

i'm not sure...but i think the lady Virginia talks to in ward one who snaps at her that she is a pianist is playing Chopin....does anyone know what it is?

Well, I watched the movie. It was great!! Unfortunately I don't know the piece of music being played in the movie. I can tell you it is a Waltz and it is in the key of D Flat Major. Chopin wrote 2 waltzes in this key and it is neither of those, although it sounds similar to his 'Minute' Waltz (Waltz In D Flat Major, Op. 64 No. 1) being played very slowly.

The name of the composition is "Valse Minuet" ("The Minute Waltz") by Chopin.

The piece is Chopin's "Minute Waltz" in slow motion. (Sounds more like the "Three-Minute Waltz.")

Actually, that may be how the song is supposed to be played. Chopin himself never called it the "minute" waltz, and even with the name it wasn't to be interpreted as literally done within a minute.
