Sutton Place

Anybody notice the view from the Courtland apartment is the same view Barbara Stanwyck had as she emoted in Sorry Wrong Number?

:D :D That is funny - I watched "Imitation of Life" (1934) and next day "Sleep, my Love" (1948) and in both movies, there are prominent scences with Claudette Colbert on a balcony facing the Queensboro bridge - 14 years apart.

"Sorry Wrong Number" with Barbara Stanwyck was also made in 1948.

But if you watch closely - the house in "Imitation of Life" would have been a bit closer to the bridge than in "Sleep, my love" and there would have been at least one or two buildings between Barbara Stanwycks house as the bridge is even further away seen from her apartment.

In "Sleep, my Love" there is even a continuity error - in one shot (56:34) the bridge starts off at the right side of the house, while 2min later & in all the other shots on the left side.

I'll check up on Barbara Stanwyck's view later. As far as I know 'Sorry Wrong Number' used stock footage of New York. Whereas 'Sleep, My Love' used 3 Sutton Place as an actual filming location.
