I watched it on AMC, too, though I live on the other side of the country. It's a great film to watch when you want to forget your troubles for a while. The turn the story takes near the end is wonderful! Clifton Webb is quickly becoming one of my favorite actors.
It'll be on in October if you want to catch it again. Too bad AMC shows a great movie like this at such an inconvenient hour. Funny that a channel called "American Movie Classics" will show Chuck Norris movies in primetime but relegates true classics such as this to the wee hours of the morning.
You can now watch this film anytime as it's been posted in sections on youtube.com.
shareIt's the kind of film that studios won't make nowadays because it's too "old fashioned". What the studios don't understand is that there is a large public out there starved for movies like they used to make them in the 1940's!

I have this film. I just watched it again yesterday. I discovered it about ten years ago on TMC.
