The reviews for the film were quite mixed, but Mark Dennis received glowing notices for his portrayal of the son who hates his father. Movie reviewer William Lynch Vallee attacked the film for "poor dialog and a cluttered, confused script" but said Mark Dennis' role was "well-played" .
