That Aline MacMahon didn't get an Oscar nod is a shame. One of her best performances!

Yes, it was a moving performance and it reflected America in a very positive way which I think was vety appropriate.

I agree that Aline is unforgettable in this movie (so are Clift and Jandl).

She was a wonderful actress. She should have been nominated for Best Supporting Actress at least.

Count me in as another who loved MacMahon's performance in this film. What a tribute to the people who actually did such difficult, heart-rending, caring work.

When I came to check IMDB after watching the film I was surprised that Aline MacMahon wasn't at least nominated for Best Supporting Actress. I loved her in this.
