bandleader who offers Doris a contract

The cast-both credited and uncredited found on this site doesn't seem to list the name of the bandleader and conductor who in Rio offered Doris a contract then is seen again in thr finale conducting the huge orchestra. At first glance I thought it might be Xavier Cugat but I don't think it was. Anyone know the name of the bandleader.
