This is a very good film, and a lot of fun to watch. The only downside is that we don't get at least one musical number from Janis Paige. She could sell a song as well as any of them -- just watch her performance in "Silk Stockings" as the Esther Williams-type swimming star.

Paige not singing is part of the show...it's an on-going gag that whenever you think she's going to sing, someone stops her because she's (in this film) a terrible singer.

I get the whole "gag" thing. I just think it wasn't necessary, and it wasted Paige.
