Makeup well done

Esp. on Duke. I couldn't believe how young he still looked in 1948, in his "younger phase" in the film. Then, after 14 years have passed, he looks THAT age, too, with graying temples, a streak of gray across the scalp, and extra-baggy eyes. Somewhat less, but still good enough for Brennan, who looked younger in the beginning and then, with scruffy beard, tangled hair and those traded-back-and-forth dentures, Brennan too managed to look 24 years older. Convincing job - didn't go in for overkill, and it made the film seem more authentic.

What wasn't authentic to me was the makeup on Tess (think that's her name). This was supposed to be 1800's and looked like she just walked out of Macys.
