What happened at the bar?

Hope is dressed in a cowboy suit and walks into a rough and tough bar. He's at the bar with 3 or 4 tough guys on both sides of him. He asks the bartender for a sarsaparilla, and the tough guys growl. What did Hope say. All I recall it was very funny.
