plot inconsistency?

Right from the get go when Calamity Jane is released from prison, one of the bad guys is there to see, and later he tells his cronies about where she's going to be. So why is it that none of the others throughout the film seem to care that she is Calamity Jane, a known gunslinger and just been released? Wouldnt they have been tipped off? they all seem to be more concerned with her partner played by Hope. Even though they killed the original agent, they still think he is the original agent. I dont get it. This is great comedy by the way, can't wait to see the sequel!

I found the plot impossible to follow. Luckily, the movie was funny enough that it didn't matter.

Normaly I don't follow a Plot in a Bob Hope Movie I watch them for the Laughs. Looking for a Plot in a Bob Hope movie would be like trying to find a Deep Meaning in a Hope/Cosby Road Movie.

She purposely lets them believe a new agent was sent to her when she says, "All I know is you come from Washington D.C." out loud so they can hear her.

Plus, they probably weren't worried about a little ol' woman.

Can't stop the signal.

Isn't this bad guy killed in the bathhouse and it's more like the last words he says are just: there is an agent among us?
