Venus statue same in Contessa??

I'm a late bloomer when it comes to watching the old classics - I've heard so much about so many of them that I kept putting off watching them to spare myself the disappointment of them not meeting my expectations! But, it's been my loss and so I began recording. Today I put on The Barefoot Contessa from 1954. I was amazed to see what I think is the same statue being used as a cemetery monument for Ava Gardner's character as the statue of Gardner's Venus in One Touch of Venus, 1948. Anyone else notice or can confirm?

Yes, this was the same statue. I know that she did own it later.
I haven't been able to find this movie at all. The last time I saw it was about 30 years ago. Where did you see it and is it available on VHS / DVD ??

They were on TV a while back. I taped them but then erased them after I watched. But keep an eye out for them - I see a lot of old movies on TCM (Turner Classic Movies) that I haven't seen for years, or ever! Good Luck and thanks for the info!

Not the same statue. Dress is different, Right arm different. Google both images for comparison.

No, it is not the same statue. Plenty of pix exist of Ava posing for both. Very different, actually.
