Best moment in the film ...

The 8-year-old British girl imitating Jimmy Durante as she says, "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, etc." I watched that scene several times because it was so surreal.

Esther Williams and Cyd Charisse are both stunningly beautiful and there are some good musical numbers, but this movie doesn't have a whole lot going for it otherwise.

Peter Lawford is pathetic. When Esther Williams ended up with a weenie like Lawford, I got so mad that I felt like I was watching a Norma Shearer film.

Janet! Donkeys!

That little girl was Kathryn Beaumont, who went on to voice two Disney animated characters in the 1950s. Alice in Alice In Wonderland, and Wendy in Peter Pan.
