How many brands of gasoline can one station sell?

In the gas station scene, the logos for Texaco, Gulf and Mobil are all on the station property.Obviously these signs were obtained to give the film an "American" setting, but I have never seen a gas station selling multiple brands of gas..
Also Ma Grissom loses her American accent every few words and reverts to her British one.
