Has the title anything to do with the poem?

I mean the one by Francis William Bourdillon:

The night has a thousand eyes,
And the day but one;
Yet the light of the bright world dies
With the dying of the sun.

The mind has a thousand eyes,
And the heart but one;
Yet the light of a whole life dies
When love is done.

I think it does in terms of the inner turmoil of Triton's character, metaphorically speaking.

Thanks for sharing the poem. It's beautiful (but too short!).

John Lund quotes it in the trailer for the film, and I imagine it's noted in the novel by Woolrich.
