I watched this Mother's Day weekend while visiting my parents, and it was really good! I'm in my 30's and I like movies like this. Kirk Douglas is good, and Laraine Day whom I'd never seen before was excellent! The small part played by "Granny" from The Beverly Hillbillies is really cute, too. This is one I'll add to my collection.
shareSame thing here, kind of funny with me though. With the movies I watch when someone sees me watching something like this, or talk about it they are shocked. Watching the movie right now and so far it is pretty good. Then again most of Kirk's movies are great.

shareJust watched it for the first time. It's interesting only for the historical value of being two films before Kirk's break-out role in Champion.
Seeing Keenan Wynn and Irene Ryan was cool but the characters were more annoying than truly funny.
For me, a watch it once and then to the thrift store if it doesn't sell at the yard sale this summer !
