Miranda - Anyone love the sequel too, Mad About Men?

Movie girl: I saw the sequel on TV as a young child and tried for several
years to at least see it again. Would you believe that in the early 70's
in my early job I had a day off and when it was on again, they had mixed up
the reels. The film was in progress by the time the viewer could watch.Seems unbelievable. One day in the 90's I finally acquired a
good VHS, but the best showing the colors resplendently is the DVD which I
acquired from a friend a year ago. We can see the mermaid with her hair
glowing and her wonderful personality. I just loved this film and still do.

Actually, I had heard of Miranda, but had never seen it, the original mermaid
film also with Glynis Johns.

Sadly, the co-star Anne Crawford I looked up on IMDB - had died in the 50's from
Leukemia. She gave a great performance here and in some 40's films where she
was very young. She is great in a suspenseful murder mystery called Daughter of
Darkness, about a suspected vampire woman. In another film she played a police-
woman's sometimes harrowing daily rounds. This included rescue of a child on the
top floor of an apartment building. Apparently, the toddler had climbed out
on the roof, the mother unaware. A neighbor across the way caught the danger
in time and alerted the police. Anne was the able policewoman slowly initiating
her rescue.
