Cole Porter's Score

Cute film, but too bad they decided to make it without Cole Porter's songs from the original Broadway show -- "Girls! Girls! Girls!", "Sing To Me, Guitar", and "I Love You" among them. They threw out a very good score for one fair song ("Is It Yes Or Is It No?"). Typical Hollywood thinking.

It wasn't exactly a Hollywood decisions. Fans had been complaining about too many song numbers in A&C films so Hollywood decided to cut them, for the most part, from this film. Sort of an experiment.

What a shame. They had the fireball, Luba Malina, on the payroll and anyone that has seen her "Soundies" (check on YouTube) knows that she was human dynamite when given a song and dance routine. Over the top entertainer! But I guess it is a little late to complain now. Some of her Soundies include, Cuban Pete, Minnie From Trinidad, Strip Polka plus several more. No one who has seen her will ever forget her.
