I thought you were going to say something about Jane Powell in male drag, serenading that pudgy little blonde girl in the school play.

Again, not unusual. The girls just made up their own plays to be in together, and those can't all be just one sex. Kids play like that all the time. My mother's high school was all female, and she was always in plays, girls only. They didn't borrow any boys. And they didn't stay with female-only plays, either.

Oh no it's not. If it was movie stars would never have the following they did. Many young people are attracted to their elders, at least as an ideal of what their man/woman might be when more mature. I know I've been attracted to certain older men when I was a teen. I still adore Leon Ames! But I would never have considered actually dating anyone outside my decade.
