I have seen this movie once on tv-maybe 30 or so years ago-I have never seen it shown since.I would like to see it again-there seems to be no DVD release. It must be Ty Power's rarest film.

I'd love to see it again too. The only thing that I can think of is to write to Twentieth Century Fox to ask them to release it rather than myriad repeats of the same old movies - special editions, platimum editions, collectors editions, tinned editions, blue ray etc and all the same film. All we would like is one copy of a film that is neither brilliant nor award winning, but is good clean fun - The Luck of the Irish with Tyrone Power.

I agree with this topic.

I have seen this movie a number of times, but not recently. I would love either a VHS or DVD version, but have not been able to find it.

If anyone tracks it down, please update this message list.

As far as the U.S. is concerned it has never been "officially" released on video, so the odds are unlikely that it would come out on DVD. It used to be played every St. Patrick's Day on a Philadelphia TV station. Now Turner Classic Movies shows it once in a while, but for some strange reason NOT on St. Patrick's Day. The only purchase you can make in connection with this film is a movie poster.

Can you play Region 1 DVD?

reply

It is part of the Tyrone Power Matinee Idol Collection.
