Did this film win any Academy Awards? Joan Fontaine deserved a nomination at least.

This film is in the book called something like "1000 Films/Movies to see before you die". I hope it was a huge success at the time as it is an outstanding film with excellent performances and cinematography.

It's wasn't a financial success at the time of its release. I don't know about critical though?

It was one of those movies which gained a steady following years after its release, and it was then that its merits were truly recognized.
