is her son's name really stefan jr.?

No, not really, because he does not have the older Stefan's last name so he could not be a Junior, technically. To Lisa, though, I think she always thought of him as Stefan, Jr.

His name is Stefan... In the novella she sees her son as a part of his father that she has finally caught and can hold onto. I don't think the "Jr." tag was really around in 1920s Europe :)
