For all of his Talents, Mr Orson Wells Irish Accent is Absolutely Atrocious !!!
It really hinders my enjoyment of this film. I hate to say it.

shareI agree it was pretty bad. Welles, the director, manages some very striking scenes, but he made on big mistake in my opinion - casting his lead actor! Rita Hayworth is exquisite, but the male lead needed a John Garfield type, but one who could be convincingly Irish - Orson Welles was not that person!
