Sinatra's costumes were an embarassment
Sinatra did'nt have a song until 34 minutes into the movie. Luckily Grayson had two songs up to that point. Herb Nacio Brown was the composer, with a great track record for great songs, but in this movie had only one song that was memberable (Love is where you Find It), maybe it was because of the unknown (at least to me) lyricists.
They should have at least designed dark colored pants for Sinatra, Those whites and greys just stood out and caused a distraction from the scenes. The best I can say is that he resembled a "scare crow", all he needed was straw coming out of the bottom of his pants and his sleeves.
Also a distraction was the added nose for J. Carrol Naish, I did'nt even know it was him.
Just as well I guess, because the story was "lousy". Also, not enough musical numbers.
