Shades of 'Dial M for Murder'

The best scene of this movie is when Harry was sort of trying to strangle Jane (Joan Fontaine.) Jane reaches behind her for scissors and thrusts them into Harry's back. In Dial M for Murder, much the same thing happened. Grace Kelly was being strangled and reached behind her for scissors and stabbed the would be murderer.

There is also a scene involving scissors (for stabbing) in the 1944 film The Woman in the Window.

Also, I got the impression that Harry might have been trying to rape Jane before possibly strangling her. He was already in the process of removing her sweater. Thankfully he didn't get far before she stabbed him.
