Hilarious line!

Was watching Key Largo last night and cracked up at this line:

Deputy Clyde Sawyer: Well, they didn't look right to me, so I asked them a few questions. By the way they answered me, I knew there was something fishy. So I put in a call to Ben Wade, but before I could get through, the lights went out on me. I woke up in there. Rocco was standing over me. I recognized him right away from the pictures. I made a break for the door, and the lights went out again.
Toots: I'm the electrician.

Old man Temple: "Look at the great Johnny Rocco with Laura's spittle running down his face. Come over here, I want to spit on you too."

reply

Bogey walks over and gives Gay Dawn her drink
Gay Dawn: "Thank you."
Rocco slaps Bogey
Bogey: "You're welcome."

I just watched it again today and the line that hits me every time is from Rocco's chief henchman, Curly -
"Glad that old man's in a wheelchair, he'd be lotsa trouble."
Man, that's an evil thing to say. Thomas Gomez delivers it in such an offhand, smiling way too. Great movie!

Toots had another funny line;

James Temple: Are you thieves or what? You want money, is this a robbery?
Toots: Yeah, Pop, we're gonna steal all your towels.

Absurdity: A Statement or belief inconsistent with my opinion.

Angel: "That's us on the radio that they're lookin' for....."
Rocco: "Don't worry - they couldn't find the Queen Mary in this fog."

Johnny Rocco : Yeah maybe this isn't real pop what's happening you're having a dream.

Toots : Wake up pop you're snoring.

goodness, reading through these lines i forgot what a rich movie this is, with great dialogue (as often with movies from this era), i used to tune into it whenever tcm aired it, and when that channel shut down where i live i had to get this flick on dvd. here's my favorite most memorable bit of lines from the movie: - "what's funny?" - "nothing" - "then why did you laugh?" - "i don't know" - "dumbell..." - "what's worse, curly, a dumbell or a wise guy?" - "a wise guy i guess".

another party night,
come out and see,
in the bar four seats,
from sky bright light beams,
as we roll,
melt cant steer the road,
in the laboratory,
beasts transforming,
we're driving them out,
theyre tryin to destroy us tonight.
