I love old movies and when I saw the plot summary on TCM, I watched this movie with some expectations. What I found was a silly contrived movie. The big plot turning points seem to be introduced in a hurry at the end to tie everything up. The behavior of some of the characters was just maddening. And they treated the deaf woman like she was some totally helpless puppy dog. The slut Stella seemed schizo. It's not just what I pointed out. It just seemed sloppy.
shareI'm not sure what you consider to be an ' old ' movie, since the majority of the films you discuss are no more than ten or fifteen years old. In any case, it's over five years later and I guess you can see how many people agree with you. I guess this film didn't have enough digital effects for your taste.
