Can anyone tell me the plot of this story? I know it's about an imagrant family that moves from Norway to America in the 1910's, but I'm not really sure what goes on during the course of the story. If anyone could give me any short details to the plot it would really help. I'm doing this play for a high school play and I'd really like to know the whole plot. Thanks.
shareIt doesn't really have one single plot, it's episodic and character driven rather than plot driven. There are several small plot arcs going through the whole thing: Katrin's coming of age and aspirations to be a writer; Aunt Trina finally finding a man as shy as she is, their courtship and marriage; the truth about Uncle Chris and "the woman". Then each little episode has its own mini-plot. Mama just ties everything together.
