Wasn't she just absolutely wonderful as Martha? So warm, loving, and so full of vitality. (Her "I have to Chloroform a cat!" line was hilarious.)

She did so much for everyone in her family, and never asked for anything in return.

A wonderful character in an unforgettable movie.

"Remember to always be yourself... unless you suck."

Oh, I know! I couldn't agree with you more! She, in all of her movies, was always so warm, caring, and self-sacrificing. She really was an idylic mother. I would have wanted her to be my mom too!

For me, she's right up there with Myrna Loy in The Best Years of Our Lives.
