The doc was rich

I just did the math on the three stocks Muller discovers the doc had sold - to cover his gambling debts. It totalled $457,325.00 That's over $4.5M today (2015) on just those three stocks we see. I guess you can become rich even back then treating wealthy patients. That one man made $40k/yr which is almost $400k/yr today.

One other note: I found it strange that Muller, after looking over the doc's finances, hears a phone ring. Initially he thinks it's one of the two phones on the desk, but it turns out to be one clear in another room. I didn't think Muller's hearing was so bad he couldn't tell if a phone ringing was right next to him, or clear away in another room. That just hit me as odd.
