Thursday's Child.

According to an old rhyme:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child works hard for a living,
But the child who is born on the Sabbath day,
Is lucky and happy and good and gay.

We know who portrayed Thursday's child, but does anyone know who portrayed Thursday's grandchild, Michael Thursday York O'Rourke?

Fort Apache was filmed in 1847 and the child looked like they were born after 1940, and so would be less than 82 years old if still alive in 2022.

As far as I know, the youngest credited actors in the film were probably John Agar (1921-2002) and Shirley Temple (1928-2014), even though in real life, some of the cavalry soldiers and Apache warriors could easily be as young as Philadelphia Thursday and thus portrayed by actors and extras as young as Shirley Temple.

Michael Wayne (1934-2003) was present for part of the shooting at Monument Valley and could have been an extra if any scenes called for someone that young. Mmichael wayne, or any child of any cast or crew members, could have been an extra in scenes at the fort , filmed in california, but I don't remember any child extras as family memmbers of soldiers there.

The movie required 200 Navajos as Apache warriors and another 100 Navajo women and children. It also required 100 non-Indian extras as cavalry troops.

So possibly asking at the Navajo reservation could be a way to find out whether any of the Navajo child extras are still alive.

But I would guess that if the performer of Michael Thursday York O'Rourke is still alive they would probably the only surviving person who portrayed a named character.

And if not for a thread asking a similar question about a Star Trek episode I might not have thought to ask this question. https://www.trekbbs.com/threads/fridays-child-literally.311772/
