OH, the technicolor

I don't know weather its my Smart TV LG or the movie itself, but the Technicolor was so vibrant. Why are the movies today are not as vibrant? The only other Technicolor movie that was just as vibrant that I saw was "Samson 'N Delilah" with gorgeous Hedy Lamarr in her first Technicolor movie.

The color in "Easter Parade" does appear to be unusually saturated. More than most (any?) of Judy's other MGM color musicals.

Well, since then, I have seen "The Pirates" with Judy and Kelly, and it seemed just as vibrant to me. So it must be the Technicolor cameras they used at that time.
