Why is the dvd so expensive and hard to find?

Gosh each time I look anywhere it's either discontinued or it costs $60 or more.I have this movie on tape, and I never thought it was gonna be that expensive. Does anyone know where to get the dvd at an affordable price?

Because a limited quantity was released and now the film is out of print so people who have copies sell them at a higher rate.
