source for the two missing scenes

Indeed, I just watched CRY OF THE CITY (in the U.S. release version) and was confused by two very obvious jumps in the negative: clearly there is a first part to the one sequence in the film starring Shelley Winters, then half-way through her sequence, a second jump cut eliminates her experience inside the bar. Does anyone know if the BFI DVD includes these scenes as some sort of extra material, or are they within the flow of the picture? The edits are extremely jarring, and surely it plays better with those sequences intact. I'd like to know the history of the edits... Hays code enforcement? LAURA has a similarly horrendous jump cut in nearly all prints due to an arcane music rights issue.

THE BFI HAVE ADDED THE SCENE'S WITHIN THE FLOW OF THE FILM.

You can buy an Italian version of the film on the Internet and they do NOT have the two scenes.
