Out for Justice

I don't know if anyone else noticed the similarities between this brilliant movie and the Steven Seagal ultra violent, but campy good time film "Out for Justice"?
Both films feature two old childhood friends who grow up to be the opposite of each other (cop/crook). Both Italians. The hero is chasing down his old friend who just killed a cop, and both have the protaginst being very close to the parents of the antogonist, even having the trip down memory lane speech. Well there are many other points, but ultimately I think "Out for Justice" ripped off a great deal from this movie. Just an observation.
Oh and another thing, I thought the creepy Hope Emerson as Rose Givens was amazing and totally stole the film. Her massage scene with Conte was superb!
