Have you noticed that it's only two basic colours in this movie? Different shades of blue (plus navy, grey blue) and brown - beige, brown, dark yellow eventually. Clothes, furniture, lamps, carriages, house walls, everything! This reflects the colours of the desert, mountains and the sky. Terrific!

Filmed in two-color process: Cinecolor which is really appropriate for westerns!

I was attracted by the unusual colouring of this movie. As you pointed out, it does beautifully blend in with the landscape.
