Ends with house fire?

Saw a "cowboy" movie on the TV when I was quite young (early 60s?) and think it was Dan Duryea as Black Bart. He sat in a chair backwards at one point (typical Duryea or Widmark move) and in the end there is a house fire.

I remember more but it would be a spoiler to say.

The attitude and body motion of the Bart character impressed me and I often sit in a chair backwards to this day.

So, did I see Black Bart?

WOW!! Took a long time to get an answer for this question. The answer is yes, you almost certainly saw Black Bart. The fire is at the end, as you say.

Very very thankful for your reply.

I do not rent or buy movies willy-nilly and rely on reports by others or strong strong clues before doing so.

I now have a treat ahead of me when I can glom onto a copy of Black Bart.

Encore Westerns shows it now and then- just watched it last weekend, in fact(DVRed a week earlier).
