Showing on Turner Classic Movies

Finally, after nearly 35 years I am going to get to see this movie again. The Unfinished Dance is scheduled to air on Turner Classic Movies January 15th, 6:15pm.

I am really excited. I have hunted for this movie longer than any other.

Sickening rubbish like this should never be uncovered. I'm glad ye got yer wish, tho.

Nothing is more beautiful than nothing.

What a great movie! We both loved it. What a nuanced performance by that child! Hope to see it on DVD soon.

I respect your opinion, but hope that if you haven't yet, you will see some better Margaret O'Brien films. I adore that kiddo but she was pretty buggy in this one. And i kept wondering, "Where are her parents? Why is some man taking care of her who she's not related to?!" Maybe that's just my issue [or a bad writing issue, which this film is pretty full of, IMHO], but ick :) I love her in Meet Me In St. Louis, she really gets to shine in that film.

There is a review above that talks about the French film this is a re-make of, they ran both films on TCM this summer, June 27, 2011 - i recoreded both but somehow no longer have the original. Did anyone watch them both back to back, i'd love to hear thoughts about both!

I have to agree with bcates70, this was one awful movie, from the cheesy costumes and stage settings to the horrible dancing and choreography, and not one of Margaret's better performances. To see her at her best, check out "Meet Me in St. Louis", "Our Vines Have Tender Grapes", "The Canterville Ghost", or "The Secret Garden".

I would add Bad Bascomb with Wallace Berry.
