My family and I have been making an annual vacation of going to the Mackinac area and when we've gone, we have tried to find the location of Grandma's house. Does anybody know where on the island it is located? (if it's on the island at all)
shareWhen I worked on Mackinac Island (1969-72) that house was known as the Woodfill house, and it was owned by W. Stewart Woodfill, the owner of the Grand Hotel. It is located on the west side of the Island, near the high school. Incidentally, the pool in front of the Grand Hotel was built by the studio for Esther Williams for this movie.
