Money recognition
Paul Miller would have recognized the money as "the work of August Baumann" at the very beginning, and alerted the gang of it.
shareFigured it out myself: it was apparently only the face plate that was recognizable, and Miller didn't see it till the end. Though i imagine in "real life" he could have identified the back plate just as well.
