Who was the voice of 'Carmen Miranda'???

This is one of my top five favorite Bugs Bunny shorts. My favorite part is when the 'Carmen Miranda' character goes onstage and sings that spanish gibberish song (I wish I could find the lyrics!!!). I think it is simply impossible for Mel Blanc to have imitated the voice of 'Carmen Miranda'. I wonder who did the voice. Could it have been the real Carmen Miranda? Did she have a contract with Warner Brothers? I have searched high and low on the internet for this information with no results. Any clues out there?

I'd like to know this, too. It's possible that a Carmen Miranda recording was used, but I doubt it. I'm hunting around, and I'll let you know if I find out. I'd like to add the info to the database.

And I agree: Mel Blanc is talented as hell but there's no chance he could have sung that song.

Actually the "Carmen Miranda" character is singing in real portuguese about a brazilian girl and all that, not spanish nor castilian... so it might have been a recording of Carmen Miranda herself or maybe taken from the Copacabana film... not sure about this anyway.

A rabbit who could dance, play guitar, and does a great Groucho impression---and Elmer still wanted to "fwickasee" him? And why didn't Bogie notice Bugs during the show?

According to the Wikipedia entry for this cartoon, Carmen Miranda supplied her own voice.
