Out of the studio which has given us many noirish films,we have the visually lovely STS !

Much to acclaim :

-large lustrous Cast

-the dashing and a bit overplayed Fairbanks

-strong supporting cast

-hunt for Alex the Great's Treasure

-O'Hara's nicely played damsel

-Technicolor

-Slezak the dark Sorcerer

-1947 : a time of record going public attendance

-irrepressible Tony Quinn !

-etc., etc.

I am a fan of RKO movies. As soon as I see their triangular logo come up, I settle back knowing that I am going to be entertained.
