Jean-Marie Robain

Does anyone know why Jean-Marie Robain, who was only in his mid-thirties, was cast as the uncle? He gave a good performance, but is there any particular reason why an older actor wasn't used?

I felt he did a good job portraying his character. There's no reason that it had to be someone older when Robain fit the bill.

Robain's age is about the only thing that distracted me in this film. He was so obviously "not an old man." And it didn't seem to me that he did anything that an older actor couldn't have done as well. In fact, it seemed to me he didn't even need to be an actor.

Very interesting film. I enjoyed it a lot.
