SHOULD BE ON TAPE OR DISC

This is a first class musical, with a succession of superior Gershwin songs that are still being incorporated in orchestral compilations ..and still turning up in the repertoires of top cabaret singers. Betty Grable and Dick Haymes sing delightfully, and the comedy sequences involving the early suffragettes and the oddball characters in a theatrical boarding house are highly original and very funny. It is inconceivable that this little gem has not been released on VHS or DVD.

I agree. A few years ago, I e-mailed Twentieth Century-Fox Film Corporation as well as AMC hoping to find out if there were any plans to release this film on DVD. Sadly, I never got any response. Hopefully something will happen soon.

Just bought a Blu-Ray disc player a few weeks ago. Now I'm hoping this comes out on Blu-Ray. But with the way things seem to be heading, I guess I should be looking for streaming video. Still not real sure how all this works. I hate showing my ignorance but I guess we'll 'own' movies/streaming videos that will be stored in a cloud-based environment??? Obviously, I just haven't really kept up....

I have it on DVD as a 20th Century Fox Cinema Archives release
